Okay, don’t mind me. Today is a monumental day. Remember that. I just wanna dedicate this post to one of the best American television-shows ever, Desperate Housewives! BRAVO. Tonight was a 2-hour SERIES FINALE. Such a depressing, heart-felt episode. I’m probably over-exaggerating about this but I’m really not. I basically grew up with the show. I was 13 years old when the show piloted. Now I’m 20 and the series JUST ended eighteen minutes ago, as of today, 11:18pm! Now I don’t know what to do with my life. I’ve watched every single episode of every season. It was totally worth my Sunday nights. I seriously think that the show really matured me for the better. Hands down, knees down, elbows down, best night time-soap ever!
None of my friends, that I know of, watch it! WHY?! It’s so good, or maybe it’s just me, idk. I really don’t know anyone else that watches the show at all (at least here in the states)! People always get so surprised when they find out that I watch it. I think people stereotype the show as a sex & scandal type of show (assuming from what I hear). Uh, it’s really NOT. You actually have to watch it to be surprised to find that it’s not just any ordinary television show. Desperate Housewives is a comedy drama-MYSTERY series!! >:O There’s a reason why it went on for 8 seasons in a row! I actually didn’t know this up until I went abroad but it’s surprisingly pretty popular internationally, especially in Europe and Australia.
Lynette was always my favorite housewife from the beginning, although I love them all. She’s so hard working and has such a great work ethic. I’m gonna miss her. Man, I’m really gonna miss Wisteria Lane :/ I always wanted friends like Bree, Lynette, Gabby and Susan. Life would be good. I actually wanted to live in a street like Wisteria Lane. Life would actually be so exciting and mysterious…LOL wth am I saying?
Anyway, I also wanted to thank Marc Cherry for his genius work. He is literally one of the best writers I know. I still can’t believe he decided to re-write the whole last 7 episodes of the season. The last episode that aired today was actually filmed 2 weeks ago!!! That’s hardcore right derr. This may be too far-fetch but this show is actually a big part of my life :/ sad ain’t it? It’s like Friends all over again. I got all depressed when the last of episode of Friends aired. I really think that Desperate Housewives is gonna be a classic television show. It was just too good.
And lastly, my favorite quote from Desperate Housewives last episode that I think Marc Cherry really out done himself: “That even the most desperate life is worth living…..and it ends with a cliffhanger.” Brilliant! You have to watch it to understand what it means. Neener neener. Okay, I have so much more to say but I really need to finish my final papers. Boooo, what a drag. -.- Last thing I wanna add, Desperate Housewives was truly one of the best, well-written shows ever.
OH! P.S. The only thing Marc Cherry should have done was bring back that guy, Rick from the pizzeria after Tom and Lynette split. Things would have been juicy, JUICY! That is all.
